Does Herno Run Small?
This is the question we get asked most. The short answer is: not anymore. Herno has evolved significantly as a brand. Where older collections could run slim, today's Herno range — particularly the ready-to-wear and outerwear — is cut for a modern, relaxed silhouette. Most tops and jackets are Regular Fit, meaning you take your normal size. The key is checking the fit indicator on each product page. Every Herno item at Union 22 carries one of three fit labels, and those tell you everything you need to know.
The Union 22 Fit System
On every Herno product page at Union 22 you'll find a fit indicator. Here's exactly what each one means:
The fit label also appears as a short line in the product description — for example: 'This is a slim fit — we recommend going up a size' or 'This is a regular fit — take your normal size.'
Herno EU to UK Size Conversion
All Union 22 Herno products are listed with both EU and UK sizing — for example EU48/M UK.

Herno Trousers & Pants Sizing
Herno trousers and pants fit generously — as a general rule, drop a full size down from your usual waist measurement.

If you're usually a 34" waist, order the EU 48 / Medium. If you're usually a 32" waist, order the EU 46 / Small. Every Herno trouser at Union 22 will carry a Big Fit indicator as a reminder.
Herno Footwear Sizing
Herno footwear runs large compared to sports and trainer sizing. As a general rule, drop a full size down from your usual trainer size. If you normally wear a UK 10 in Nike, Adidas, Hoka or similar sports trainers, order a UK 9 in Herno footwear.
