Paul & Shark Size Guide
Paul & Shark is cut more generously than most Italian brands, and it runs one of the widest size ranges we stock. This guide gives you the EU to UK conversion, how Paul & Shark fits across knitwear, outerwear and trousers, and the one category where you should order differently. As an independent Paul & Shark stockist, we size customers across the range every week — so if the tables don't settle it, message us and we will.
Does Paul & Shark Run Big or Small?
Paul & Shark clothing is a Regular Fit — take your normal size. It neither runs small nor oversized.
That is worth saying clearly, because most Italian brands cut slim and many customers have learned to size up automatically. You don't need to here. If you size up in Italian tailoring or Italian knitwear as a habit, Paul & Shark will come up roomy on you — order the size you actually are. The knitwear, polos, shirts and outerwear are all cut true, and the fit indicator on every product page confirms it.
Footwear is the exception. Paul & Shark shoes and trainers run large, so drop a full size down from your usual trainer size. There is a conversion table for that further down.
The Union 22 Fit System
On every Paul & Shark product page at Union 22 you'll find a fit indicator. Here's exactly what each one means:
The fit label also appears as a short line in the product description — for example: 'This is a regular fit — take your normal size.'
Paul & Shark EU to UK Size Conversion
A UK Medium is an EU 48 in Paul & Shark, a Large is an EU 50 and an XL is an EU 52. All Union 22 Paul & Shark products are listed with both — for example EU48/M UK — so you never have to convert in your head.

What Sizes Does Paul & Shark Go Up To?
Paul & Shark runs from XS through to 6XL (EU 62), which is a wider range than almost anything else we carry — and it is a properly graded range rather than a Large with more fabric in it. If you are a 4XL or above and have spent years buying whatever fits rather than what you want, this is the brand worth knowing about.
Sizes above XXL can carry a different price to the core range. The price shown on each product page is the price for the size you select, so you will always see it before you order. Not every style is made in every size — message us and we will check availability on a specific piece.
Paul & Shark Trousers & Pants Sizing
Paul & Shark trousers are a Regular Fit, so this is a straight conversion — order your usual waist size, no adjustment. EU waist sizing is your UK waist plus 16.

Leg length varies by style. Some Paul & Shark trousers come with an unfinished leg so they can be taken up to your length; others are finished to a set inside leg and are ready to wear. The product page tells you which, and if you are unsure, ask before you order — we can check the piece in the shop.
Paul & Shark Footwear Sizing
Paul & Shark footwear runs large. Drop a full size down from your usual trainer size. If you normally wear a UK 10 in Nike, Adidas, Hoka or similar sports trainers, order a UK 9 in Paul & Shark footwear.
