C.P. Company sizes on the Italian scale, where the number is roughly your half chest in centimetres. Every piece at Union 22 is listed with both, for example EU 50 / L UK, so you can order in whichever system you know.

Measure your chest under the arms across the fullest part, over a shirt rather than bare, since that is closer to how the garment will actually be worn. Keep the tape level and do not pull it tight.

The size run varies by piece. The overshirts run the full EU 46 to 54, while several of the knits and sweatshirts start at an EU 48. If the size you need is not in the selector, message us rather than guessing, and we will tell you whether we can get it.

Chrome-R, Nycra-R, DD-Shell: What the Names Mean

C.P. Company names its fabrics, and the names appear in the product titles. None of them changes what size to take, but they do tell you what you are buying.

CHROME-R

A garment-dyed polyamide with a soft, faintly metallic hand. Used on the zipped overshirts. Garment dyeing means the piece is dyed after it is made, which is what gives the colour its depth and the seams their slightly lived-in look.

NYCRA-R

A stretch nylon, used here on the long padded jacket. The elastane content gives it movement, which is worth knowing if you are between sizes: the fabric itself has a little give, the pattern does not.

DD-SHELL

The shell used on the hooded down jacket. A dense, matte technical cloth built to hold down fill without letting it migrate.

THE LENS

The goggle lens is the detail the brand is known for, and every piece carries one, on the sleeve or the hood. It is not a sizing consideration, but on this season's pieces it is worth tapping your phone against, because there is an NFC chip inside it. See the section below.

Worth knowing because C.P. Company is one of the most counterfeited labels in menswear, and until now checking a piece meant hunting for a code on a sewn-in label. The chip moves that to a two second tap, on the most recognisable part of the garment.

HOW TO TAP IT

Hold the top of your phone flat against the lens and wait a second. On iPhone, NFC reading is built in and needs nothing switched on. On Android, check NFC is enabled in settings if nothing happens. If it does not read first time, move the phone slightly, since the reader sits in a different spot on different handsets.

OLDER PIECES

The chip is new, so a piece from an earlier season will not have one and that is not a sign of anything. Older garments use the brand's Certilogo code instead, printed on a label inside the garment, which you scan or type into the Certilogo service.

What To Do If You Are Between C.P. Company Sizes

Take your normal size. C.P. Company grades in even sizes only, so there is nothing between an EU 50 and an EU 52 to fall into, and the regular fit means your usual size is the answer.

If your chest measurement lands on the boundary between two sizes, think about the piece rather than the number. On an overshirt, which is worn open over a tee or a knit, the larger of the two is the easier choice. On a padded jacket, take the smaller, for the reason above.
