Sergio Tacchini is regular fit, so take your normal size. That is the whole answer and it holds across the range, from the polos and tees to the track tops, the velour and the full tracksuits. Below you will find the EU to UK conversion for the tops and the trousers, and a note on how the tracksuit sets are sized, which is the one thing on this brand people ask about.
Does Sergio Tacchini Run Big or Small?
Neither. Sergio Tacchini is true to size. Every product at Union 22 carries the Regular Fit indicator, so order the size you normally wear.
There is no catch on this brand and no category that behaves differently. A New Dallas track top, a velour Sartori jacket and a Voletta tee are all sized the same way.
If you are used to buying vintage or reissued sportswear you may expect to have to compensate one way or the other. Not here. These are current production cut to modern sizing, whatever the silhouette is referencing.
The Union 22 Fit System
Every product page at Union 22 carries one of three fit indicators. It is an instruction about sizing, not a description of the style:

Sizing is on the Italian scale, where the number is roughly your half chest in centimetres. Every piece at Union 22 is listed with both, for example EU 50 / L UK.

Measure your chest under the arms across the fullest part, tape level and not pulled tight. Even sizes only, and not every piece is cut across the full run - the size selector on each product shows what we hold in that one.
Sergio Tacchini Track Pants: Waist Conversion
The pants use Italian waist sizing, which is your UK waist plus 16.

Measure around your natural waist where the trouser actually sits. Most of the track pants run on an elasticated or drawcord waist, so there is some give, but take your true waist rather than relying on it.
How the Tracksuit Sets Are Sized
The Fontana is sold as a full tracksuit, jacket and pant together, and it is listed under a single size rather than two.
That size is the top. Order by your chest as you would for a track jacket on its own, and the pant that comes with it is cut to match. There is no second size to choose and nothing to reconcile.
If you want a top and pant in different sizes, the Sartori velour and the New Dallas and Blow combinations are sold as separates, so you can take an EU 50 top with a UK 34 pant. Check whether you are looking at a set or a separate before you order.
What To Do If You Are Between Sizes
Go up. Sergio Tacchini grades in even sizes only, so there is nothing between an EU 50 and an EU 52 to fall into.
On the track tops in particular the larger size is the safer call, since they are worn over a tee rather than next to the skin.
