Does Wahts Run Big or Small?

Neither. Wahts is a Regular Fit across the whole range — take your normal size.

There is no category that breaks the rule. The tech jackets, overshirts, gilets, knitwear, t-shirts, trousers and shorts are all cut true, and there is no piece where we would tell you to go up or down. If you are an EU 50 / L, order the EU 50 / L.

That includes the footwear. Most of the outerwear brands we carry run large on shoes and need a size dropping. Wahts does not - order your usual size.

That is unusual and worth saying plainly, because most European brands have at least one category that runs differently — Italian labels in particular tend to cut slim, and a lot of customers have learned to size up automatically. You do not need to here. Wahts builds around stretch technical fabrics, which is part of why the fit stays consistent: the cloth moves with you rather than the pattern being cut generously to compensate.

The Union 22 Fit System

On every Wahts product page at Union 22 you'll find a fit indicator. Here's exactly what each one means:

The fit label also appears as a short line in the product description — on Wahts it will always read: 'This is a regular fit — take your normal size.'

Wahts EU to UK Size Conversion

A UK Medium is an EU 48 in Wahts, a Large is an EU 50 and an XL is an EU 52. Every Wahts product at Union 22 is listed with both — for example EU48/M UK — so there is nothing to convert in your head.

Measure your chest under the arms, across the fullest part, with the tape level and not pulled tight.

Wahts Trousers, Pants & Shorts Sizing

Same rule — order your usual waist size, no adjustment. EU waist sizing is your UK waist plus 16, and the shorts follow exactly the same sizing as the trousers.

Wahts gives every style its own name — BRETT and HARPER on the tech trousers, FILLIN on the travel shorts, SAWYER and BAKER on the jackets. The fit is consistent between them, so once you know your Wahts size you can order any style in it with confidence.

Wahts Footwear Sizing

Wahts footwear is true to size — order your usual size. This is worth flagging because it is the exception among the brands we carry: Herno, Corneliani and Paul & Shark footwear all run large and need a full size dropping. Wahts does not. If you are a UK 9, order the UK 9.

We buy the Wahts footwear selectively rather than every season, so it is not always in the range. If you cannot see it on the site and you are after a pair, message us — we will tell you whether it is coming and can let you know when it lands.
